Mr. Iszam Bin Padil is currently serving as a Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Halal Management Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

He possesses a strong academic foundation in Management and Islamic Studies. Mr. Iszam earned his Master of Science (Management) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in 2008 and his Bachelor of Shariah (Politics and Management) from the University of Malaya (UM) in 1999. He also holds a Diploma in Administration of Islamic Jurisprudence (DAIJ) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) (2008), a Diploma in Science (Management) from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) (2007), and a Certificate in Learning and Development Practice from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), United Kingdom (2015).

Throughout his distinguished public service career, Mr. Iszam has held various key positions. He began as a Lecturer at Chermai Jaya Matriculation College, Kuching in 1999, and later at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Samarahan, Sarawak in 2000. That same year, he joined JAKIM as an Assistant Director.

His subsequent roles include serving as a Training Consultant at INTAN Kuala Lumpur (2014), First Secretary / Halal Attaché at the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra, Australia (2017), and Principal Assistant Director at the Secretariat of the Malaysia Halal Council, JAKIM (2022). In 2024, he was appointed as Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) before returning to JAKIM in October 2024 to resume his current role in the Halal Management Division.
